it's kind of a funny story

Every once and a while I'll fall head over heels for a book.  I'm not the kind of girl who could spend endless hours with her nose in the latest novel every critic has raved about, but this was different.

First, lets just talk about the title.  It's kind of a funny story... Ironically, it's not really all that funny.  If anything it's depressing.  Let me explain...

This book is actually about a kid who suffers from depression.  This boy, Craig, is 15 years old and has just entered a prestigious high school.  When the pressure becomes too much and he can't take it anymore, he resorts to suicide.

That is, until he checks himself into a hospital and saves his own life.  He is his own hero.

The book follows Craig and his adventures in the Adult Psychiatric unit.  He meets a whole bunch of people who make the experience ever so entertaining on his road to recovery.

I found this book downright fascinating!  As someone who knows a little more than the average human being about mental illnesses, this book is quite realistic.

The author himself spent time in a mental hospital before writing this book.  It took him less than a month to write the story after returning home!

Overall, I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to take a break from the latest chick lit and pick up something a little different.  Although, I don't recommend it to younger audiences because of some inappropriate material, especially in the beginning.

Have you read this book?

Look who was peeking in while I was reading!  Isn't it sooooo cute?!

Okay guys so I just finished watching Pitch Perfect and can I just say, it is perfect!  Coincidence?  I think not.  Shall I include the trailer?  Even if you have already watched the movie, you will want to watch the trailer again.

Thanks for reading! Don't forget to show some love and give me a follow!

Much Love!
