top winter polishes.

So I am pretty much in love with painting my nails. It just makes me feel so...complete, you know?

Theres no better way to top off a look from head to toe than painting your nails a new color!

Not only is it lovely when applied, but so relaxing to do! I often spend my weeknights waiting for my coats of polish to dry after compleating the night's homework.

Today I'm going to show you my top three winter nail polishes for this season. Keep in mind I'm no pro at describing colors!

The first color I have is called Revlon Red. It is probably the most flawless classic red I own. I think not only is this a very wearable color, and it works almost any time of year. I do tend to wear it in the cooler months, as it is a darker color.

The second color I have actually doesn't have a name ~ SORRY!! It is a dark gray color with gold undertones. I think this is just flipping gorgeous!!

I got this in a set for Christmas from Forever 21 and their Love and Beauty makeup line.

The last one is a really pretty icy blue color called Love Nails. This one reminds me a lot of the snow and frosty weather. It's from Sinful Colors, a line at the drugstore.

In fact, I'm going to be doing my nails again tomorrow. Which one of my top three polishes should I use?

my resolutions.

I belive in new beginnings, fresh starts, and hope. I believe that every single day we are able to change ourselves.

I love all the positivity that New Years has to offer. Just think. A whole day dedicated to the year ahead of us. All of the exciting things to come.

Maybe you're someone who wants to learn a new instrument. Or perhaps you feel as though you should dedicate more time to school work. Need to shred a few pounds? In the words of Nike, Just Do It.

When I say to 'Just Do It' I mean put forth some effort. Make a new playlist of songs to run to. Create a study area with some fun pillows and some scented candles. Don't let your resoultions become work.

I'll give you a list of my resolutions/goals for the upcoming year.

1. Blog once every three days.

2. Read at least one 'my choice' book each month.

3. Gain confidence on guitar.

4. Start and end each day with a prayer.

5. Write down 3 things you're thankful for each day.

6. Stay happy and positive.

7. Look over my resolutions every month.

To start off the year right, I'll leave a Pinterest-montage of some inspiring quotes to get you through the days to come.

And now for a little song. One of my favorites to listen to all year round. It's a great reminder that every day is a new beginning.

happy new year.

Happy New Year, lovelies! It's time to write resolutions, reminisce good memories and make some new ones! I hope this new year brings lots of joy and happiness to each and every one of you readers!

Even though I didn't attend a New Year's Eve party this year, it's always fun to celebrate a little bit! A little glitter never hurt anyone, did it?

It is a bit too late to take inspiration for the New Year's parties you may be attending, but these looks work for and upcoming event you may be going to!

I absolutely adore New Year's fashion. It's that one day of the year that glitter and sparkles looks good on everyone (and isn't the least bit 'too much'). Will you rock your New Year's dress, shorts, or nails?

Quick Overview ~ I'm going to leave a lookbook below of my favorite New Year's pieces followed by a little bit about what I did myself this year. Take a look ;) Oh! If you click on the pictures it will open another tab with the website from where I found it!!

From bebe, we have our first two pieces. These are also the highest priced items I have to show you today. The sequins on these dresses help make them really 'pop'.

I love the cut of the one on the left and how the mesh keeps this dress more conservative. The gold is a really classic sparkly color for any of you girls out there who like to keep it a bit more basic (more or less).

I picked the one on the right out because of the chevron pattern. Chevron has been a really big trend all year and I think it works very nicely on this dress! This is definitely a trendy choice!

These next two items I picked from Forever 21 really reflect my personal style. I would definitely grab these for a New Year's celebration!

The item on the left is not for everyone, but I love it! Paired with a solid colored flowing top, you could make this top look ah-may-zing!

The one on the right is a gorgeous A-line dress with loads of glitter! It's an all around flattering choice that really catches my eye. Paired with a bold statement necklace like in the picture, this dress would be stunning.

These last two pieces from Charlotte Ruse are adorable as well! I love the sparkly bottoms on each of the models!

This first dress on the left (yes, a dress) incorporates a bright chiffon-style top and a silver glittery skirt. I think this is a fun way to add some sparkles without being, well, covered in them!

The piece on the right, like the pants above, are a cute and more casual alternative to a dress. With a pair of tights and some heels, these are a great choice!

This year, I decided that I should stay low-key and just go for a nice glittery mani! It was so fun to just take some time on New Year's Eve and pamper myself. What a relaxing way to ring in the New Year. :)

I used Frenzy by Sinful Colors to get my look. It's a fun glittery polish with lots of purples and blues. I'll put some pictures below to show you how it turned out.

When I saw this trending on Twitter this morning, I thought it was the perfect thing to blog about.

With the New Year quickly approaching, there are definitely some old habits that need to hit the road. Like, pronto. Let's make a list, shall we?

* #In2013NoMore worries.

Life is too stressful as is. Don't put yourself through things that should be left in the past. Let go. Hakuna Matata :)

* #In2013NoMore insecurity.

Yeah, I know you think you're not as _fill in the blank_ as her, but do I believe you? No. You are a beautiful being. You are a Child of God!!

* #In2013NoMore regret.

Today is a new day filled with new adventures. Get out there and do what you love, for the love of it.

* #In2013NoMore procrastination.

Do you really want to do it tomorrow either? Do yourself a favor and do it today!

* #In2013NoMore laziness.

I've heard all of your excuses. I've used them all too. But tell me, what can you gain from being lazy? Each day is a gift from God. Don't disappoint.
